Wonder of Wednesday

WOW (Wonder of Wednesday) was held on February 27, 2013 in Koendjono room, Sanata Dharma University. What is WOW?? Wonder of Wednesday is one of the outdoor activities which are held periodically by the Center of English for International Communication. Outdoor activity is an extra activity which aims at giving the students a chance to practice speaking English outside the regular class. Outdoor activity is usually conducted in the middle of the course period. The forms of the event are various, starting from students' performances, bazaar, movie club, and many others.
Wonder of Wednesday was the latest outdoor activity. About 140 CEIC students which belong to 11 classes took part in the event by performing wonderful shows and chants. There were drama musical, parody, singing, dancing, and poem reading. It was awesome to see them show amazing performances on stage enthusiastically. Everybody burst into laughter and happiness. Everybody enjoyed the show!
The event was in a form of competition. The committees, who were all CEIC teachers, sought for two winners for performances and two winners for chants. After 2 hours of difficult judgment, the winners were finally chosen. The first winner of the performance went to Upper Beginner B which was guided by Ms Sita and Mr Fendi. The second winner was Mid Beginner D, under the guidance of Mr Daniel. In that night, Mid Beginner D students became the star, as they were also successful to get the first place of the chants competition. The second place came to Real Beginner C which was guided by Mr Simon. Even though the other classes did not win, it did not really matter. The event was too wonderful to bring worries. :)
The event was then closed by photo session of all the students and the teachers as the committee. To see the WONDERFUL photographs, check out the gallery!
